Personally, having tried many, many cheap necks off the 'bay I can say they are universally sub-par. Even the licensed Mighty-Mite neck pale in comparison to Warmoth or Musikraft necks. I just received my first Warmoth neck and its excellent. I say save up and get one of the Warmoth Baritone conversion necks.

/EDIT - I wrote before I bothered to check the guys feedback. It might actually be worth a shot to try one.
