i'd expect it to. japanese manufacturing standard vs korean (or indoseian?).
specwise, they 'should' sound the same though (basswood + maple neck, 25,5" scale).
i'd expect it to have a better quality fretboard, better hardware and hopefully a better fretwork. the pickups aren't great on any stock ibanez rg7
