When you say 'tightening the trem arm', do you mean tightening how loose it revolves in the socket, or how much 'wiggle' it has? I find my trem arm 'wiggles' alot in the socket (without altering the pitch - imagine the play in a steering wheel as an analogy) and it annoys me tremendously
