I've had an account for a while but haven't posted anything yet really. I'm 17 and I've been playing guitar for about 4 or 5 years, and developed an obsession with building a 7 string guitar a couple of years ago. I finally got the chance to make one when I moved to a new college and it's served me surprisingly well. Its a 27" scale thru-neck maple and mahogany with mahogany wings and cheapy cheapy pickups off ebay. cost me about £200 to make and I'm half way through making an 8 string at the moment that is going to be totally wacky-headless, fanned frets (maybe), bits of aluminium and all sorts. Glad to be part of the forums and I hope i can contribute something.
Anyway I'm into loads of stuff from LOG or meshuggah etc to obscure stuff-Keith Merrow & cloudkicker and all that. Oh and not forgetting Dream Theater.
