Didn't he record the album with the Axe-Fx? Or maybe I'm just assuming things. I figured that making a record with Bulb would quite easily result in that.

I have one and sure enough, it's a definite GAS killer. It's like having a girlfriend with an awesome face, great body, sweet personality and great music taste. Why would you look for girls that only have one of these attributes when you have them all in one already?

I'm not saying the Axe-Fx is the end-all be all for everybody, but I encourage everyone to try one, preferrably if you know someone who already has it tweaked properly to their own system because the presets are crap and you need to spend a lot of time learning how all the parameters work, otherwise you're probably not gonna be too convinced about the unit. The Axe-Fx is not just a substitute for an amp, but for a studio-recorded amp. There's a huge difference there. It's as much a vitrual studio as it is an amp modeller.

Also, the Recordings section on the Axe-Fx forums is awesome! Chack that out.
