I think that tends to be a regional thing with Obama.
I am in the South and am an Obama supporter and I get accused of being a terrorist as well as many other things that I will not mention here.

I think it is just the American idea that there has to be a bad guy and no matter what the issue is, if you disagree with the person/group you are talking with you automatically become said bad guy. Sad but in my experiences that has been the case.
