It's not as form-fitting as the newer case, although it looks a tad plusher. The new case also seems more durable, from appearances. Mine is wood, I think, instead of that awesome ABS plastic, which is hard as hell. And that nifty compartment is the bee's knees. The UV1000 compartment sits underneath the neck. Meh.

Eh, it does the job, I gues. My gig bag kicks mucho ass.
