Thank you for the warm welcomes. I really appreciate all the helpful info! Yeah, I figured with it being a 7 string, that the neck would be a bit thicker. That's no problem. I just don't want to feel like I'm trying to wrap my fingers around a tree trunk.

I have been reading through some back posts, and checking out some pics, and I really think that the 1527 is the most logical choice for me.

Angryman, I hear you. I am positive that I will be changing the pickups!
