Agreed. Back in '89/90 when they broke out, it was his playing that made me go "whoa, so this is what metal is gonna be like..."
Honestly for me it was his rhythms that got me.

I think people whine about his leads because he was more blues oriented than sweeps etc. But what do you expect? He was from Texas. Country/western, rhythm and blues.
