Yes it's for soloing over atonal music. It has more than 10 tones.....it has all twelve when you move into other positions I believe ( I haven't actually checked).

EDIT: It only has 10 apparently.

A, B, C, D,E, Eb, F,G, Gb, Ab, A

I think I have something wrong on the Low B but thats how we were playing it today.

I think the Low B should match the high b.
