Alright, so when I DO upgrade pickups in my rg7421xl, I think i'm pretty decided on an Air Norton for the neck...and no matter what I do, I just like the sound of EMG's in the bridge for heavy distortion. I e-mailed Dimarzio to ask whether the X2N-7 or Evo 7 would be closer to replicating the sound of an EMG, and they said the Evo would be better suited. My question to you guys is: which pickup do you feel would be better suited for the EMG-esque tone I'm after, and/or which pickup would you recommend? I need a pickup that excels at high gain, tight palm mutes, and has good pinch/artificial harmonics
