I had the original repair done about 4-5 years ago. It wasn't a TON of money, but at the time I didn't consider it cheap either.

The problem was lessened when I first got it back, and I was kind of like "Well, fuck it, this will do" because I was without the amp for a week or so. Then I slowly started to notice it come back (I don't use the clean channel very often - no gain adjustment). When I did call back, they told me that since I verified upon pickup that it was fixed, there was nothing they could really do.

I'm not worried about that issue, just about solving the amp problem.

Oh, and I don't recall the name of the shop, but they were the only shop that GC AND a local shop both recommended to me.
