My ideal optimum string gauge.

Alright I just finished my order for my dream strings. Heres what I thought I would try. (All on a 25.5in scale rg7 Ibanez) I usually use a dr tite fit 9-52 7 string set, but the 2 b strings were a bit floppy.
Well its no wonder! Look at the huge differences in tension between my high b and the A string! Thats pretty inconsistant.
9-13.1
11-11
16-14.7
24-15.8
32-15.8
42-14.8
52-12.34
So Wayne7's idea is to make the tension increase from the lighter strings to the heavier ones, ok sounds like a good idea. But all the sets I had tried with thicker wounds strings tapering off as you get higher, seems even more inconsistant than my ol' method of strings. SOOO, I had an idea of trying to make the tension even across the board, I liked how my E A D and G string felt tension wise, so I tried to stay around 14-15lbs of tension per string. This is what I came up with
9.5 14.6
13 15.4
16 14.7
24 15.8
32 15.8
42 14.8
56 14.8
Which works out well because I can use the DR's I like, buying a 6 string pack. And then adding the singles (9.5 and then the 13 plus the 56 for the b) it ends up being about 7dollars a pack of strings, but this is music were talking about here, if it ends up working as well as I think it will, it should be worth it.
I will post back in about a week and let you guys know how it went. Anyone else try evening out the tension on their guitar? Have you tried Waynes idea? Anything similar? Thanks!!
