Need help in getting audio from a DVD to wav/MP3 format.

Hey guys, I could kindly use some assistance here. I gots me a new "deluxe" CD/DVD package from a most excellent progressive rock/metal act. Per my usual behavior, I'm ripping all the songs to mp3 to listen to on my computer/burn-to-a-single-disc-to-enjoy-in-the-car... and, well, the only way that the three additonal tracks on the second (DVD) disc can be heard is by playing them through the DVD menu.

My question here is: How can I extract the songs to (preferably WAV) an audio format to compress to MP3 and put with the others? I downloaded this software called Apex Video to MP3/WMA/WAV but am having no luck in getting it to work. There are two folders on the DVD disc, AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS... the first contains no files , and the second a set of .BUP, .IFO, and .VOB files. I'm guessing the streaming data (audio/video) is in the .VOB files as they are the only ones big enough to contain video and/or audio data. How do I make this happen?
