New Jerk in the house...

hello!

I've been aware of this site for a while but just joined. I play Bass, but don't have a 7 string. I do have a 6 (close enough?) a 5 and a 4. Altogether that's 15!!!!!

I've been playing bass since 1993, but kind of been off & on since about 2000. Real life and a full time (+) job gets in the way of it. But I still play to get away from it all when I need to.

My brother is in a band and he wants me to play with him, but I just don't have to time to commit. Kind of sad on my part. My brother is actually playing bass right now since they can't find "the right guy" to do so.
check it:
MySpace.com - THINNING THE HERD (Live at TRASH 7/24) - NEW YORK, New York - Psychedelic / Metal / Punk - www.myspace.com/castrosbeard

Basses I have are a Stingray 4, G&L L2500 and a Brice HXB 406 fretless fitted with a Bartolini 4.6 A/P 3-band onboard preamp, wired for 18 volts.
Running through an Ampeg SVT 2 Pro and Carvin RL 2x10 (actually fitted with Eminince Neo 10's and a new style crossover) and Carvin RL 1x15T
Thinking of getting a fretted version of the HXB 406. Really nice bass for $300...I have another 4.6 A/P waiting to go into something...why not another HXB since it makes the bass sound SOOOO good?

But I guess that's only part of my story as it pertains to 7-string. There's more to me that may sound kind of boring to most...
