| I listened played everything I wanted to play. About 6 years in I picked up some scale books. Learned a few, and now almost 11 years in, I still learn by ear predominantly. If I have an extreme amount of trouble, I will try to find sheet music. It does tend to suck after awhile, some complex songs have taken me over a year to learn by ear. But it's really worth it. |
