the Blaze bridge sounds wretched in a maple neck-thru/ alder bodied guitar, especially a Carvin. i would know i've tried it before
. thin, brittle and piercing. the Blaze in Mahogany is entirely different story though...
sell the Blaze and the Blackouts, then email Tim with what you need. he was dead on with the Cold Sweat neck recommendation for me

FWIW, i'm not one who's totally opposed to mixing and matching pickups from different manufacturers. i'm currently running a Dimarzio X2N7 and BKP Nailbomb neck in my Agile Septor 27", and really like the results. i've thought of replacing the X2N7 to have a BKP set, but it works so well with the NB in that guitar that i don't wanna fuck with it. but who knows, talk to me in a month or two and i might have totally different pickups in that guitar
