Anyways. I'm not familiar with 'Dime'ing a JSX. I know you can do so with a 5150. Hit up Budda he'd know about that. As he has a JSX and I believe we talked about some 5150 combo stuffs a while ago.

For a nice heavy tone, have Aric flip for an MXR 10-band. Or buy it for him or yourself. Neither one of you will regret it. Stick it in the loop and boost the frequencies you find lacking. You can also hit the tubes harder by raising the gain and volume sliders (the volume is useless imho) but bring them up just before hard clipping. I don't even have a fantastic amp or anything and it really brought the thing to life.

Don't be scared to bring the mids on the amp up either. Especially if you grab an EQ. It'll definately add some beef. If you don't like low mid crunch too, you can scoop it out and get more of a traditional 80's buzzsaw. If that's what you're going for. Mids=punch, though.
