Seriously, I'd say we could lose the penny. Granted, that means that % of sales tax (that is different from state to state, and sometimes from city to city) will change somewhat. Vermont has 6% sales tax... would buying a $1 item suddenly cost $1.10? Or would it go to $1.05? How about Williston, which is a town in VT where sales tax is 7%? |
