Well, most stereo cabinets I've played lack the depth of two 2x12" or two 4x12", because the two channels have a tendency to clash with eachother when they're being voiced so close to eachother, and the stereo quality is lost a little bit (in my experience).
That in mind, having two 4x12" cabinets with descent speakers might really fuck the budget up. So, I'd recommend two 2x12" cabinets. What make or model? Can't really say, as I'm not familiar with the options on many 2x12"
If you really want diversity, and for your rig to sound unique then you'll probably have to load up a cabinet(s) with speakers of your own choice.
All that aside, if you decide on buying *just* a 4x12" cabinet, I'd suggest the Bogner (like Joe did) or even the Mesa as long as it's got MC90s or CL80s.
