Chris as far as gyms go look into Planet fitness thats were i work at. As far as "diet" goes its about changing how you eat for good not until you lose the weight cause then your just going blow back up.
The problem i see with your breakfast is your getting in slow digesting carbs but your not getting any protein and you adding in sugary carbs (fruit)
For food its all pretty easy and basic.
Meats:lean beef,white meat chicken(skinless,boneless breast and tenders) white meat turkey and fish(tuna,tilapia,salmon etc..)
For lunch meats try and stay away from ham and smoked lunch meats. Stuff "honey smoked"
For dairy opt for low fat instead of full fat or nonfat. So 1% milk instead of regular.
For carbs stick to brown carbs and avoid white carbs. IE: wheat bread,brown rice and sweet potatoes instead of white bread white rice and regular potatoes.
Veggies dark green veggies go wild with. Fresh baby spinach is good for salads.
Don't avoid fats avoid trans fats and saturated fats. Get your fats from olive oil,nuts and peanut butter.
Try and get in a small meal every 2-4 hours and consisting of a protein,good carb and healthy fat.
