| I'm going to start by saying i have no experience of SD's in basswood, but i happen to have a question that might open up another option to the threadstarter: How well do Swineshead Pickups work with basswood?
If you're in the UK, then you can pick these up for the same price or less than SD's and they're hand wound, I hear the materials that aren't tone related aren't as good as BKP, but still good, and if they don't affect tone, no problem to me. The components that do affrect tone are good from what i hear. I'm mainly asking because i want to try some in my RG.
