for what head?
marshall cabs are harsh and they fart out pretty easily. Other than that, they go ok with rectos.
ENGL cabs only sound good with ENGL amps, imo. The v30 ENGL cab has a VERY pronounced midrange honk, and the V60 cab is more scooped, harsh and for some reason it's overall tonal character is dominant over the amp's settings. ENGL cabs are incredibly well constructed, but i can't recommend them for anything other than ENGL heads...
I can't comment on the crate cab, since i've only played they're cheap-ass no-name speaker cabs, which -of course- absolutely blow.
I highly recommend you the Orange PPC412. Untypical sounding for a v30 cab in every possible way. 3D-sounding, smooth highs, the tightest low-end you can possibly get out of a cab and awesome mids projection. I tested LOTS of cabs (including both ENGLS, mesa, randalls, marshalls...) before getting mine, and haven't heard one bad thing about them either.
edit: oh, best of all. The orange goes well with every amp i've used it with (dual rec, fireball, line 6), which i can't say for most of the other cabs referred (especially ENGL).
edit #2: oops, kinda overread the "has to be stereo". Well the orange comes with 2 parallel-wired output jacks for connecting additional cabs to it, so you could easily rewire it to be stereo.
