That why I don't really consider the SRC-7 to be a production guitar, since you have to special order them just like a custom, AFAIK. Might just as well get a guitar with a more usable pickup configuration, while you're at it.

Does a 7-string option fall within the semi-custom range? I thought that was mostly finishes and hardware. They've changed that recently, in any event, so I have no idea what they're still doing with those. Either way, it's not exactly a production instrument.
