I came across a Dead Kennedy's DVD,
Dead Kennedys: DMPO's on Broadway shot at the club where we later provided PA services. While this occurred roughly 4 years prior to our involvement with the club, the interior was largerly unchanged, meaning that the pictures captured from the DVD are good examples of the size of the venue.
Throughout the '80's, our paths crossed a bit, like at clubs, and we always seemed to be practicing at some of the same places they did. We weren't "friends" with them, but we were "friendly". For the most part they were all pretty decent guys you could have a decent conversation with.
One day at a shopping mall here in Jacksonville, FL, some teenaged boy wearing a DK's tee-shirt was asked to leave the premises. After I found out about this, I called the management office and told them they'd be better off with the actual members of the band in their mall than with many others in their stores. They weren't known to be thieves, unlike many who'd never heard of the Dead Kennedy's.
So, here are some pictures:

The entrance is on the left side, beneath the sign:
The stage was one the better ones in town. The DK's had 4 members, which you can read about here DEAD KENNEDYS: A concise History For Consumers Everywhere
Here's another good view of the stage from the balcony:
And the other shots of the DK's in action, plus some of their PA in use:
