Hi Samer,

I never owned a Pod XT Live, but have used a Toneport, and a Zoom G2.1u which were both USB.

When a USB audio interface is hooked into a computer, the sound will output from the USB device. In this case, your POD. There is no way to route the audio thru your sound card, because, the POD is basically one big external sound card.

What you have to do is plug your computer speakers, or indeed, an amp, to the output of your POD. Then you have to set the computer to output into your pod. To do this:

(On Windows)
Start->settings->control panel->sounds and audio devices.
Click the "Audio" tab. Under "Sound Playback" select your Pod as the default device. Click ok. You may also set the computer to record from your pod by setting the "Sound Recording" default device to your POD.

Hope that helped!

-Mick.
