I was thinking to myself the other day that maaaaaybe eventually I might grab another EBMM JP model (still undecided if it will be a JP6 or JP7) but I was curious about swapping the bridge pickup out this time. Almost every basswood guitar I've played I absolutely hated the tone in the bridge. To my ear they usually seem to be lacking much "chug" if that makes sense. It's not my picking technique either!
Now that said I haven't tried an M7 in the bridge of a basswood guitar before. I really like how it sounds in my Carvin and was curious if anyone had experimented with an M7 in a basswood guitar before?

I'm wondering if the M7 could add some balls to the JP in the bridge position to make up for the body wood.

The Carvin had great unplugged tone so I was fairly certain that it was going to sound good with good pickups, but I'm not sure about the JP. If anyone has tried the basswood + M7 combo before please share your thoughts.

The custom DiMarzio in the neck position of the JP7 was just about as perfect a neck pickup as one could want but the bridge just didn't do it for me.

Maybe the M7 could fix that issue?
