I think I'd get the blackouts instead of EMGs because they are bassier. I don't really know how the metal would sound in alder, be aware it has more mids than any pickup your have ever used before by about 500%
seriously, it's insane.
Oh and the blackout metal isn't available yet, they said it should be like april-may over on the seymour duncan forum if I remember. So you can order one it'll just be a while until you get it.
