this is weird... what EQ settings were you using? and what cab?

i AB'ed the powerball/fireball through an ENGL v30 cab, and while the powerball is somewhat bassier, the fireball wasn't thin in comparison by any means (at least with the master at around 3-4, didn't get to crank it further at the music store).
At band rehearsals, i have the master at around 6 and it sounds nicely thick and meaty. With bass at 5, mids at 10, highs at 6-7 and presence at 2-3, that is. My bandmate plays a 5150 and i (after finally getting to know the fireball's EQ) have absolutely no problem in cutting through. My fireball can actually even sound 'thicker' in comparison (could be due to my orange cab, though).
