Whoa, whoa, whoa! Don't go lumping atheists in with fundamentalists! Most have no desire to force their views upon the rest of the world, because we have no patron god who is telling us to spread our beliefs like the plague. The really vocal atheists have a really good reason to be militant: fundamentalists tend to wage a war against the type of scientific progress that benefits the entire human race.
