Saw them for the second time within a year (It seems that this is one of the only bands that really means it when they say "We'll be coming back to Australia next year"

) and it was fantastic again. The crowd seemed to be mostly full of late 30's early 40's regarding age and it was awesome as every one was there just to enjoy it and there were no chumps out there to purposely hurt people or get into fights.
Onto the show. They played the whole of 'Meantime' Back to back and yes... it was sick! Page was playing a VHT Pitbull (I think the Ultralead. I'm not too sure about the VHT models) but the tone had so much bite and sounded so raw that it almost ripped your face off. Hard to describe it, I thought it sounded 'airy' but not thin... I'm terrible at trying to explain tone but it was just crushing never the less. Also got to meet the band (For the second time) after the show and I have to say that Page Hamilton is honestly one of the nicest and most down to earth people I've ever met. Takes nothing for granted and adores his fans, plus he writes a mean riff too

. I actually managed to not be that nervous as he was the one that inspired me to play guitar (after hearing the solo to Wilma's rainbow I was like "why the fuck haven't I been learning guitar?"

). It's great when your heroes are just awesome people as well. Sorry for the rant... Just had to share my thoughts about this awesome night and awesome band
