I had the same exact pickup in my Schecter Gryphon 7 (which is a similar guitar to yours) so I feel your pain. And yeah, the Duncan Designed had no power whatsoever, I even pulled it up as high as I possibly could get it to the strings. I had to add a bit of gain to compensate. They had a wonderful clean tone though!

You should be much happier with the DA7, although i've never used one personally, they rocked in a 6 string ibanez I played a few times.
